Documentary wedding photography for Sheffield's most distinctive venues
I'm Manos, a documentary wedding photographer covering Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Sheffield is a city that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves as a wedding destination — but couples who choose to marry here know exactly what they're getting: a vibrant, creative city surrounded by the Peak District.
From the industrial heritage of Kelham Island to the rolling hills of the Peak District on the city's doorstep, Sheffield offers a remarkable range of settings for a wedding. I'm based in Batley, West Yorkshire — around forty minutes from Sheffield city centre — and I've photographed weddings across the city and its surroundings.
My style is documentary: relaxed, natural, and completely unobtrusive. I capture your wedding as it happens — no posing, no directing, no pulling you away from the people you love. If you want photographs that feel like your actual wedding day, not a styled photoshoot, I'd love to hear from you.
Check Your DateI work in a relaxed, documentary style — no interrupting moments, no turning your wedding into a photoshoot. You won't spend hours posing or being pulled away from your guests.
I never over-direct your day. If I step in, it is only to keep things calm and natural so you still feel like yourselves.
I focus on the moments that matter most — laughter, nerves, happy tears, and all the small in-between moments.
Most couples tell me they forgot the camera was there, which lets them enjoy the day fully without pressure.

Sheffield wedding venues I cover
Sheffield's venue scene is diverse and growing. Here are some of the spaces I've worked in or know well:
City venues: The Depot Bakery (an incredible industrial-chic space), Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield Town Hall, The Mowbray, and Trafalgar Warehouse. Sheffield's city centre has a creative, independent energy that suits couples who want something a bit different.
Country venues: Whirlowbrook Hall, Kenwood Hall, Baldwins Omega, and Wortley Hall. Just outside the city, the countryside opens up into some of the most dramatic landscapes in England.
Peak District venues: Hassop Hall, Losehill House, The Maynard, and dozens of beautiful barns and farms scattered across the Peak District National Park. The Peak District is one of the most stunning locations for a wedding in the UK — and it's right on Sheffield's doorstep.
