Relaxed documentary wedding photography across Wakefield and the surrounding area
I'm Manos, a documentary wedding photographer covering Wakefield and the surrounding area. I'm based in nearby Batley — just fifteen minutes from Wakefield city centre — so this part of West Yorkshire is home turf.
Wakefield sits at the heart of West Yorkshire, with easy access to the countryside, historic houses, and a growing number of creative venues. Whether you're planning a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, there are some wonderful spaces in and around Wakefield for a wedding.
My approach is documentary and unobtrusive. I don't pose couples, I don't interrupt your day with lengthy photography sessions, and I don't direct moments that should happen naturally. Instead, I focus on capturing the real emotions, the genuine connections, and the small details that make your wedding uniquely yours.
Check Your DateI work in a relaxed, documentary style — no interrupting moments, no turning your wedding into a photoshoot. You won't spend hours posing or being pulled away from your guests.
I never over-direct your day. If I step in, it is only to keep things calm and natural so you still feel like yourselves.
I focus on the moments that matter most — laughter, nerves, happy tears, and all the small in-between moments.
Most couples tell me they forgot the camera was there, which lets them enjoy the day fully without pressure.
